We are leading practitioners who regularly deploy real flair and innovation when engaging and co-creating strategies with whole communities and supporting fundraising and business planning across culture, heritage, tourism and creative sectors.
The INPLACE team bring considerable added value to all the projects we touch, going beyond simply guiding communities and stakeholders through development and delivery of culture, heritage and placemaking strategies. As you will see from our team member biographies, we’ve assembled a collective of experts who have vast experience delivering on every one of your project outcomes.

We advise on realistic approaches to delivery.
2. Local authority collaboration
Fostering collaboration between different layers of local authority and across departments is a key expertise held by the team. With a collective 6o years experience in local government, we have helped to navigate and lead culture and tourism teams through one of the most complex local authority mergers seen in the last 40 years with the formation of Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council from four separate unitary authorities, covering a resident population of over 400,000.
Occurring at a time of drastic cuts to service budgets, they have worked with innovation to maintain award-winning services through cross sector partnership approaches. InPlace Consulting has also worked closely to develop a shared ‘coastal community’ strategy between three urban Councils and one rural Council, helping to secure multi-million investment in tourism infrastructure and skills development anchored around the UNESCO Jurassic Coast. Our collective instincts for the challenges and opportunities faced by organisations bring insight and understanding that few consultancies can match.
